Many fancier assumed that Erik Limbourg would need quite some time to regain his position as a national and international champion after his PIPA auction in May 2015. Well, this was not quite the case. Erik could only race with a team of yearlings and young birds, and yet 2015 was another stellar season for the champion from Brussegem.
The 2016 racing season is already underway but we would like to introduce you to a few more champions before we draw a line under the year 2015. Less than a year after his PIPA auction, in which he kept only his pigeons of 2014 and 2015, Erik Limbourg is back at the top. In fact, he has never really been away.
An exceptional round of yearlings in 2015
2015 proved another great season for the wonderboy from Brussegem. He laid the framework in 2014, when he became 1st General National Champion KBDB with the help of a very successful team of young birds. These young birds managed to achieve great results as one year olds on a weekly basis as well. We are curious to see how strong they are in 2016.

This wonderful pale cock was 1st Best Yearling International Races (2 prizes) in the PIPA rankings with a 2.1626% coefficient, based on a 29th National Narbonne against 3,366 pigeons and a 36th National Agen against 2,767 pigeons. Besides his top result in the PIPA rankings he also won the title of 6th National Ace Pigeon Yearlings Extreme Long Distance KBDB.

The 2016 racing season
The new racing season has been underway for a few weeks now, and it looks like a new racing team is ready to turn 2016 into another great season. There are plenty of highly talented pigeons both in the old birds’ team and in the young birds’ loft in Brussegem. His opponents know what to do.
