Gyselbrecht stands for an internationally renowned pigeon breed that has been highly successful in the extreme long distance for years. The Gyselbrecht pigeons played a defining role in the international extreme long distance competition again in 2017.
Carlo Gyselbrecht is an internationally renowned pigeon fancier. His iconic pigeon Laureaat Barcelona, winner of a 1st International Barcelona 1995, proved to be a pigeon of exceptional quality. Needless to say, Carlo has been taking great care of the invaluable bloodlines of this exceptional pigeon.

One of the most famous descendants of Laureaat Barcelona is without doubt New Laureaat. His dam was bred by grandmaster Carlo Gyselrecht himself, and was born in the lofts in Knesselare (click here for the pedigree of Dam New Laureaat). Hugo Batenburg, together with the PIPA Elite Center, managed to get his hands on New Laureaat, the winner of a 1st International Barcelona 2013 and the title of Gouden Vleugel (for Luc Wiels). His excellent breeding potential quickly became evident, with many of his direct youngsters and grandchildren winning top prizes in international races.
