Also Chenese pigeon fanciers have celebrated Mr Eros Carbone’s half-century racing pigeon activity with a book. Its title is “The Temple of the Italian pigeon-sport”.
Nobody dares deny that Eros Carboni is the greatest racing pigeon champion of all times in Italy!
Many important lofts, in Italy and all over the world, hold pigeons descending from Eros Carboni’s blood lines. His name is already a legend. His results can beat every kind of record. Mr Carboni’s pigeons have been at the top of the charts for more than twenty years. He has been able to create a line of pigeons that can cover distances from 200 to 800 kilometres. His prestige and ability have enabled him to export these “made in Italy” racing pigeons all over the world. In 2003 Mr Carboni received the highest civil honour from the hands of the president of the Italian Republic.
So far he is the only Italian racing pigeon fancier who has been able to win two races of great prestige in various one loft international races :the famous King Cup in Thailand and the prestigious Dutch Open in Holland

The houe of Eros Carboni has become a steady point of meeting for racing pigeon fanciers
Coming from Europe and the Far East .His internet site is not very much updated for lack of time, but his results and interviews are often reported by magazines and books of many different countries and continents.There is no point in talking about Mr Eros Carboni’s successes.One could risk of becoming too boring and monotonous. Mr Carboni can boast a never ending series of victories and records,so it could probably be more interesting to speak about the problems that the Italian pigeons have to deal with during their races over the Italian territory.
It is not easy to be successful for the fanciers living in Reggio Emilia .Reggio is the capital of the Italian racing pigeon sport where every week hundreds of fanciers – and ,among these ones,some highly professional sportsmen –participate in two or three competitions over all distance in a very demanding context. Pigeons often fly with very hot temperatures of 28 to 35 degrees over two flying lines where they meet expanses of sea, high cloudy mountains and fog. Most of all,we can say that in Reggio Emillia the sporting life is hard for every fancier because of the presence of Mr Eros Carboni!
Under all these circumstances, the value an the qualities of the Italian top flyers can easily be doubled with respect to others. Such racers fail to give great satisfaction to their owners in the international one loft races and in the competitions which are flown in the presence of hardest setting and weather.
Eros Carboni practises a very strict and sometimes disputed selection.Though he makes constant money investments,he keeps only few pigeons in his lofts, just the best ones. If a bird is not worth breeding, it does not matter if it has cost a big sum of money.When a pigeon fails for the second time to reach a tob performance,it just becomes like any other ordinary bird and it is good for noting but the frying pan!
