Maurice Hasendonckx has become a household name in the international pigeon racing scene. He can be considered the main founder of the Heremans-Ceusters breed. Euro, Spinneke, Rossi, Olympic Sperwer, Bolt, etc. are all heavily founded on the Hasendonckx bloodlines. And other fanciers have done really well with his pigeons as well. Here is an anthology.
Health problems have forced Maurice to take things a little easier. It was with much regret that he decided to sell his entire old birds’ collection, keeping only his team of youngsters of 2018. PIPA was entrusted with the task of selling this invaluable collection in auction. This event takes place from Monday 20th of August until Sunday 2nd of Setember 2018. The Hasendonckx pigeons have clearly left a mark on pigeon racing at international level, with fanciers achieving great results with them both at home and abroad. Here is a brief overview:

Euro’s grandfather (Favoriet, BE98-6110722) from his mother’s side and his grandmother (700-duivin BE98-6110700) from his father’s side are direct Maurice Hasendonckx birds. This is Euro’s palmares:

This top class breeding pair, also known as Heremans’s wonder pair, is related to Hasendonckx for 50% as well. The grandmother of Spinneke (BE98-6110708) is a direct Hasendonckx. And the dam of Rossi is Rosita (BE02-6218797), which is also a direct Hasendonckx.
Bolt, BE12-6123198
The record breaking Bolt, 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB Sprint 2012, has some Hasendonckx origins as well with Spinneke, the dam of the 517-07, which is in turn Bolt’s grandmother.

De Favoriet BE98-6110722 is not only the grandfather of Euro, he is also the sire of Natalia BE03-6192536. Natalia was a great racing bird and a world class breeder. She is the (grand)mother of:

Spinneke is also the grandmother of 871-07, which is in turn the grandmother of Olympic Rosita, 1st Olympiad Pigeon and the dam of Kittel, 1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB 2013. This basically means that Maurice’s bloodlines have also laid the foundation for Dirk Van den Bulck’s Kittel dynasty.

Maurice has provided Willem de Bruijn with a number of Olympiad Pigeons as well. Spinneke is the dam of 579-05, which is in turn the grandmother of Olympic Hurricane, 3rd Olympiad Pigeon 2011 Poland.

Olympic Schanulleke is 1st Olympiad Pigeon Cat. C 2011 in Poland. This pigeon originates from a direct Hasendonckx, Rosita (BE02-6218797). She is the dam of Broer Rossi, which is in turn the grandfather of Olympic Schanulleke.
