Roger Debusschere was a garage-keeper at Londerzeel. When he stopped his business in 1995 he moved to the Drongenstraat at Lokeren, where he build a beautiful villa and a pigeon loft that is almost more luxury than his villa. But the new start’ at Lokeren didn’t happen without obstacles, because in 1996 his loft was totally destroyed by a fire. Roger has to rebuild his loft and could restart his racing program in 1997. From the beginning, the Roger Debusschere-loft succeeded in top-results, and at one go, he takes place between the Belgian top-fanciers’ on the Middle Distance races’. He was one of the most feared fanciers for the 1st Prices and the specialist in chain-results.
Mister Roger Debusschere is well-known name in the Flanders. Not only his top-performances and chain-results form the headlines of the pigeon-newspapers, also his often most expensive purchases of real top-birds’ (on the public auctions) are hot news. It is a public secret that Roger Debusschere is only interested in the pick of the basket’, in pigeons of real World-class’ to form his breeding-loft. And it are the descendants form this golden breeding-loft’ that at this moment, achieve their rush to the top’. An important thing by this is that Roger is reaching this top-results with old birds, yearlings and even with young birds. So we can conclude that the young birds are not forced, and as old birds they perform on the same level with 1st price, top-performances, chain-results and barrage as on a moving band. The call-note’ of the Long Distance Races’ !!
At the time that his team of Superbirds’ was giving lessons on the Middle Distance’ races, at the end of 2001 Roger started with fortifying his Golden breeding-loft’ with top-birds’ for the Long Distance-races. As we all know Roger Debusschere, only the BEST of the BEST’ is good enough for him to people his loft, because his objective is always to perform a leading part. And for that, to achieve this objective, he has sometimes to go very deep in his wallet, but he takes it with a big smile. That’s the law of the pigeon-jungle. So Roger wend to actual top-lofts’ on the Long Distance, like Herman BRINKMAN, Tuk (NL), mister Roger DESMET-MATTHIJS from Nokere, Jan THEELEN from Buggenum (NL), Raf LUYCKX from Belsele, Robert DOBBELAERE from Marke, and last but not least to the wonderboy from Holland’ mister Ludo CLAESSENS from Putte (NL). The year 2004 was the real start on the long distance-races. It became a début from which most people only can dream. Roger started the season with about 15 Long Distance-racers’ and 8 different birds between them are winning within the first 8 priceson a long distance race. The absolute height was the victory of the 1st National ST.VINCENT 3.711 Yearlings Zone A with 1 hour ahead !! If you can succeed in such top-performances from the first year, that sounds promising for the future ! It was already the 3rd time within 4 years, that the Roger Debusschere-loft wins a 1st National victory Zone A. Meanwhile, all 3 this super-birds moved to the Golden breeding-loft’ Debusschere, and also this is almost unique in the world !! We told you that the Roger Debusschere-loft is build with birds of exceptional World Class’. Let’s have a look at the actual composition of his breeding-loft :
– Direct from Herman BRINKMAN (Tuk Netherland) came the 2 top-hens RED 930/00‘ and RED 931/00′ which are both daughter of the world-famous GOUDEN KWEKER 046/90‘. This GOUDEN KWEKER’ is the father of the 1st National Limoges, 4th National Bergerac, 6th National La Creche, 6th National St.Vincent, 8th National Limoges etc
and one of his most famous sons is with no doubt the BRINKIE BOY. The mother of the 930 and 931/00 is the TUKSE LADY’ which won herself 7th Natonal Ruffec and 14th National Bergerac.
An other top-breeder on the Debusschere-loft is cock BLACK 320/01‘ which is a son of the famous breeder Brinkman : the 185/90′ which won himself the 7th National St.Vincent, 13the National St.Vincent etc
and is already the father of the 7th National Ruffec, and grandfather of the 2nd and 3rd National Brive, and the 14th National Barcelona 2001 !!
– Direct from Roger DESMET-MATTHIJS, Nokere we find here the nest-brothers 903/00‘ and 904/00′ which are both full brother of the LOTHAR‘ or the 9th National Barcelona 13.996 p., and the 542/01’ which is a sister of the 4th National Barcelona, and sister of PETACCHI’, the winner 1st National San Sebastian 2003 !! We also find an excellent breeding-cock : the FUTURE, which is a result of a cross-breeding between the EDISON or the 1st National Dax (from Roger Desmet-Matthijs) and the MARSEILLE-HEN (daughter 1st National Marseille Waerniers from Roger Debusschere).
– Direct from Jan THEELEN (Buggenum Netherland) we find here marvellous breeding-birds which are inbred to the successful top-lines from the famous VALE MARATHON’ and the BEROEMDE 10′.
