Yannick and Bruno have a number of outstanding bloodlines at their disposal that are housed per pair in spacious and luxurious breeding boxes. They have for instance, one of the most unique collections of original De Rauw-Sablon pigeons of Marcel Aelbrecht, the grandmaster of Lebbeke. In addition they own several pigeons that originate directly from the best of the best of the late Pros Roosen (Kermt).
De Rauw-Sablon
The most valuable pigeon in the lofts in Liedekerke is probably the BE99-4393736, aka the Zoon Dreampair. This super class pigeon is the only remaining son of the top pair Albert x Paolo. It is difficult to grasp the number of outstanding descendants that this pigeon has bred. Not only does this pigeon have great origins; it is has some outstanding breeding qualities as well. No less than ten children of BE00-4065848, the famous Lucky 848, are housed in these wonderful lofts. One of these children is BE02-4247633 National Lucky Ace. This pigeon has excellent breeding skills, just like his father. He is the sire of a national and a provincial winner: children of him have won a first national from Argenton 2008 against no less than 25,586 pigeons and a first interprovincial Chateauroux against 1,560 pigeons. On top of that the National Lucky Ace is the only full brother of the famous Bak 17 in Europe.
Another star in the lofts of Liedekerke is the BE01-4489668 Fondman 668. This strong hen is the daughter of De Fondman, which has won for instance, a Second Ace Pigeon KBDB Long Distance in 2001. Fondman 668 has a long standing reputation in the lofts of Yannick and Bruno as the sire of many top class pigeons. We give you an overview of the best results of the children of this amazing bird: first – 378 p. first – 355 p. first – 168 p. first – 133 p. second – 420 p. second – 349 p. second – 377 p. second – 282 p. etc.
The best hen of the most unique De Rauw-Sablon collection worldwide is the excellent looking hen Blue Erica with ring number BE05-4402403. This amazing hen is the direct daughter of Blue Ace x Zus Dromer and she is the dam of two national winners already. Believe it or not, her children have already won:
1st national Argenton - 11,009 p. 1st national Soutterain - 4,460 p.

In addition to their pigeons of the world famous De Rauw-Sablon bloodline, some of which we have just introduced, they also have an astonishing collection of birds of no one less than grandmaster Marcel Aelbrecht.
Marcel Aelbrecht
The two fanciers have purchased the very best pigeons on the market from their friend Marcel Aelbrecht, a true icon in pigeon racing. The Flanders Collection loft houses no less than 14 children of the widely sought after Bak 17. All of these children are outstanding birds and excellent breeders. Some good examples are Diamond Bak 17, Amore Bak 17, Super Bak 17, Excellent Bak 17 and last but not least the youngest of all: 982 Bak 17.
The BE04-4439153 or Diamond Bak 17 is probably the very best breeding pigeon that was ever bred from Bak 17. He is the sire of for instance:
1st Noyon - 847 p. 1st Angerville - 744 p. 1st Bourges - 545 p. 1st Dourdan - 309 p. 1st Noyon - 153 p. 1st Orleans - 149 p. 1st Dourdan - 134 p. 1st Noyon - 129 p. 4th Bourges - 3,285 p. 11th national Bourges - 26,984 p.
1st Argenton - 560 p. (with an 8 minute lead) 1st Bourges - 99 p. 2nd Argenton - 52 p. 3rd Bourges - 81 p. 9th Angerville - 144 p. 18th Gueret - 239 p. 20th Bourges - 390 p. 31st La Souterraine - 375 p.
And at national and provincial level:
4th National (zone) Argenton – 10,816 p. 5th Provincial Argenton - 144 p. 10th Provincial Bourges - 352 p. 14th Interpovincial Bourges – 1,110 p. 17th Nationaa Argenton – 22,442 p. 29th Interpovincial Argenton - 560 p. 42nd Interpovincial Blois – 2,413 p. 53rd Interpovincial Argenton – 1,250 p.
It would be too much to include the references and achievements of the descendants of other children of Bak 17 that are also housed in this invaluable breeding loft as well. This is amazing and unprecedented.
Pros Roosen
We have just presented you some of the most wonderful pigeons that are housed in Liedekere but we did not yet mention their small collection of original Pros Roosen birds. We would like to show you three pigeons of this precious collection: the BE04-5226544 Freddy’s World Wonder, the BE08-5165460 De Favoriet and the BE02-5065272 Klein Zwart.
Freddy’s World Wonder is a wonderful looking pigeon. She is a half sister of Den Dromer and probably the best breeding hen that was ever bred from Freddy.
It was Pros Roosen himself who advised them to add De Favoriet to the Flanders Collection. And with good reason: De Favoriet is a half brother of Blauwe Prins and a grandson of Freddy BE94-4407032. De Favoriet was the best racing bird of Pros Roosen in his champions’ loft in 2009 and 2010 and winner of for instance:
1st Bourges – 346 p. 1st Vichy – 103 p. 3rd Glemboux – 103 p. 5th Gien – 142 p. 6th Chimay – 140 p. 9th Chateauroux – 288 p. etc.
Click here to read more about the breeding references of De Favoriet.
Last but not least we would like to introduce Klein Zwart to you. It is hard to believe that a single pigeon can breed so many excellent pigeons worldwide. She is (grand)mother of more than 15 first prize winners, 75 pigeons that finished with the best 1% and 240 pigeons that finished with the best 10%.
This was only a small selection from the amazing family of breeding pigeons that live in the lofts in Liedekerke. It would be impossible to run through all top class birds and their references. That is regrettable, because they all deserve a mention. Who would not want to be running such a pigeon family?
It should be clear that the results in the races are very good as well, thanks to their amazing basis. Yannick and Bruno manage to compete with the best fanciers every week. This will not change in the next few years, thanks to their drive and their dedication to aim for the top!
