During the weekend of 15th & 16th of January , Dr. Hans-Peter Brockamp visited the buyer of his world famous “Euro Diamond”. “Euro Diamond” was sold at 170.000 EURO in November 2010 on www.pipa.be as the most expensive pigeon ever sold in auction.
The buyer is Mr. Namekata, he used the services of Mr. Hiroshi Sugiyama as intermediate person to bid on PiPa. Mr. Namekata is now not only the proud owner of “Euro Diamond”, but also of no less than 7 International Barcelona winners and 15 International winners!
Mr. Namekata is in hotel business and owns 5 big hotels in Philippines. Recently he has built a big “hotel” in Japan for Racing Pigeons. This “hotel” will not be used for business but will only be used as a racing loft for his private pigeons. Cost price of this hotel/pigeon mansion is about 5.000.000 EURO (yes, you read it correctly, 5 million Euro)
